@dashdsrdash @dandylover1 The issue there is that I now have to do strange and undocumented things in grub in order to know when the boot menu comes up, or make it wait for an extremely long time and slow down the boot. Also, sometimes Debian updates add boot choices, risking changing the order of choices, and meaning that pressing down arrow twice and then enter might not boot into the choice I expect.
