@fastfinge@interfree.ca@mary The issue is that not only do you need espeak, you also need a metric buttload of sound drivers and so-on. I suspect we'd have better support with getting SSH and network in the rescue image, because we might at least be able to get the people collocating in data centers on-side. Also, network chipsets seem to be more standard than the various flavours of onboard sound, meaning fewer drivers are needed.
