@lunareclipse Actually, the voice really isn't a huge problem. Espeak is fine, and it's the default in a lot of places. The real problem is getting sound support that both works, and stays working. And giving the user a way to recover when something random fails during boot. And also, of course, Wayland disabled a ton of stuff that screen readers need in the name of security. The best way to use Linux as a blind person right now is via SSH on a Windows machine that's dedicated to the purpose.
