Hey #fediverse: does anyone know what channel.org actually is? Is it providing a useful service for someone, somewhere? The homepage makes it look like enterprise big-tech marketroid nonsense, but for nonprofits. It seems to boost random posts to random hashtags with bots. Is there a purpose other than fake engagement here? Or should I block it to save my notifications from random noise.
Quick look; appears to be one of those content aggregator accounts that pull in content from elsewhere, repackage, and post it on Mastodon under their own instance name
Not a big fan of that sort of thing, personally...
