I tend to be very conscious of what I put on social media with regard to my physical location. I often even avoid commenting about odd weather, since it's easy to look up where that weather happened and figure out where I am. But I am sympathetic to people who don't bother. After all, every American's social security number is now known to hackers, SMS 2FA is insecure, credit details were hacked years ago, and big tech is profiling and selling everything it can. Why bother worrying?
