He can talk about mandates all he wants, his new favourite word, second to alcohol, but the only reason Doug Ford called this snap provincial ellection over a year out from the scheduled election date is two-fold. he has things to hide, and even a year out, he's rather sure he'll lose if he waits.

@adam The sad thing is he’s the only one willing to go to war with Trump to save our country. I wish some of these other spineless cowards would stand up and show some backbone, because I hate Doug. But I hate Trump a lot more.

@fastfinge I agree on the proportions of dislike for them two. But haven't you ever thought that he's doing this, all this publicity simply for the attention? Just think, they're both conservatives. Trump, clearly further to the right, but they're essentially on the same side. Run the government like a business, rather than an institution for the people. Didn't you notice how Dougie started out saying he'll cut off energy exports in retaliation, to we need a bi-lateral energy deal that involves more energy to the U.S.? And that came out just before the innoguration. Read between the lines, my friend.

@adam The difference is that I think Doug’s ego wouldn’t permit him to surrender our sovereignty. The only good thing I can say about Doug, unlike his brother, is that he’s not a bootlicker. If his jackboots can’t be the ones stomping on our faces, he won’t allow it to be someone else’s. And our only choice as Ontarions is who gets to stomp on our faces. I suspect Doug’s are at least not steel toed.

@fastfinge I think I can agree with that.
