@fastfinge Haha. The story section reminds me of a BK3 review I read once, which called the story "compelling". And I was like, even with the translation pack, the story just seems like random words and names vomited out and shuffled until they resembled sentences.
@blindndangerous I'm not sure I know what sort of thing is likely to get great reviews on there. Probably a web-based game I have to download and unzip, open index.html, and then decide whether to play as a character with 17 vaginas or no sex organs at all. Unless I subscribe to a Patreon and then I get to have a canoe as a penis or something. @fastfinge
@jscholes@blindndangerous Nah, they like incomprehensible space muds that you can only play with a sound pack and that are based on stolen codebases. I find they actually have pretty good taste in choose your own adventure pornography, oddly enough.
@fastfinge@jscholes Are we still talking about the same place or do I just dig deep enough into the topics themselves. I scroll through general and new releases and if the topic isn't interesting, I skip.
@blindndangerous I sometimes dip into the new releases room, find that threads started in 2015 have bubbled up to the top because someone is complaining about an old release or demonstrating poor judgement about when to make a new topic, and then close the tab. @fastfinge

@blindndangerous@jscholes I wish the admin would just come back, period. Eleven cloudflare challenges per visit seems to be an easier solution than actually updating the forum software.

@blindndangerous@jscholes Sounds like you've never played Flexible Survival. Or Lessons in Love. Or Endless Summer. Or inheritance. Or corruption of champions. Those are just the ones off the top of my head that have at least some mechanic that could be described like that LOL.

@blindndangerous@jscholes I wouldn't call it "bad". Ranger Legend I might, but this one isn't nearly as buggy, doesn't crash, the interface and translation are better, and it overall feels a bit more polished. I've noticed AG is highly xenophobic; I wouldn't trust most of what they say about anything. Warshovel is a better game when it comes to progression, story, and mechanics. But Call of Fate sounds nicer. So take your pick, I guess.
