@fastfinge@interfree.ca@thenexusofprivacy Yup. Right now someone who stumbled on one of my posts later would have a hard time commenting. They'd have to have a fediverse account, and know how to search for a post by URL on that service. I really really don't want to run and moderate my own comment system, though. I'm thinking maybe the solution would be to create some kind of account on my instance (webanon@fed.interfree.ca or something) and then build a form that uses that account to submit replies to the thread from web commenters. But I'd have to figure out how to keep the spammers from filling out the form, and now I'm back into captchas and everything else that makes me not want to run my own comments system.
