Me trying to explain a book I read to an offline friend: "Okay so, it's about, like, a robot vacuum who gets summoned by priests into a fantasy video game world with stats and skills." All The Dust That Falls probably shouldn't be someone's first introduction to hearing about litrpg LOL

@fastfinge I have to try that series. I've heard good things. Good move not starting with DCC, though. There's nowhere to go from there but down, or maybe sideways.

@alexhall @fastfinge I love DCC. It was also not the first Lit RPG series I read. That honor goes to the Ascend Online series.

@GamingWithEars @fastfinge It's incomplete at three books, and I don't know if book 4 will ever arrive. It's a system apocolypse with solid writing, for the genre.

@alexhall @fastfinge Ah sad to hear that it's incomplete, but I'll keep it in mind if I can ever get through the mountain of books I have already. LOL. Currently trying to finally finish the He Who Fights with Monsters series.

@alexhall @fastfinge I'm rereading book 9 because I stopped somewhere toward the end of it for some unknown reason like a year ago or something. Think 11 is the latest. They're nice and long though, so it will be a bit Then it will probably be back to the Everybody Loves Large Chests series, which facinates me to no end because it is told from the point of view of the monster and at some points, I do kinda feel bad for...the monster! Nuts.

@GamingWithEars @fastfinge That's a fun series, occasional problematic bits aside. I'm annoyed that we're still waiting on the last couple books, and have been for a long time. I want to finish the series with my buddy Jeff. I don't want to just read them with Kindle.
