Android Days two and three: There has to be a way to make this better. Where I become frustrated with the out of the box experience and try to improve things: stuff.interfree.ca/2025/05/27/android-23.html
@fastfinge Table navigation just got a big updae in TB16, you can switch to row/column nav and move through them with just one finger swipes in the direction you need
@fastfinge voice typing not working with Jieshuo has bin a ishu for a long time and i don't know if there's a way to fix it, the dev is in china and i don't think he has access to google services cause he's in china
@VE3RWJ It's just regular HTML. Malware bytes has blacklisted my server IP since day one, and they don't allow reporting by non-users of the software. So nothing I can do.
@fastfinge so a few things, you can change your launcher to get rid of the search bar, i use nova launcher, i am using a samsung so this was never a problem for me but i just like nova better, the talkback leg when scroling does take a bit of getting used to, not being able to use explore by touch is interesting, i never herd of that before
@fastfinge At some point I wanna get a better device to test things with, I currently have a crappy little CAT S22 Flip which is an Android with a physical keypad, but the performance is crap. I wanna get a Pixel A series for testing purposes but at the moment, money's tight so that's out of the question. Even though Prudence isn't as complete as Jeeshuo, I like how it doesn't require as much screwing around with permission popups or even paying for the damn thing. I have heard some interesting things about the upcoming Android 16, that it apparently has better design of the menus and stuff, and from what I have found out, its somewhat similar to IOS, but not exactly.
