The longer I look at five-star reviews for objectively terrible books on Kindle unlimited, the more I think: "I could do that better!" Is spite an appropriate reason to a book? Samuel Proulx: published , but only because he was irritated into it.

@fastfinge I've had the same thought, honestly. When I see a lot of praise for a book with grammatical errors, bad stats, or terrible characters, I think that a lot of people must have low standards and that I could probably do better than what they think is good.
