I have a silicone ice tray and an ice bin with a lid, and I regularly empty the ice tray into the bin and refill it so I always have a good amount of ice for my water bottle. But between the ADHD and the brain fog from surgery, I have forgotten to put the ice bin away so many times and have wandered back into the kitchen hours later to find a bin full of water sitting on the counter. It's infuriating to me because I won't drink as much water if I don't have ice, and I like to keep the bin full, which requires a couple of trays. The tray takes hours to fully freeze, so i keep running low whenever I have to start from scratch.

I did this from time to time before surgery, but the problem has skyrocketed post-op and I don't know what to do about it. I suppose i could get a second ice tray so at least there would be more reserves to refill the bin with when it happens again.

It's such a minor problem, but it is driving me mad.

@greengaybles Maybe an icemaker? At least they make ice much faster than a tray in the fridge. You can purchase some stand-alone decent ones for not too much money. Plus when they're making ice they have a loud fan noise. So that might work as a reminder of what you're doing.
