I just configured a Framework Desktop with 128 gigs of Ram and two 4 Tb drives, primary and secondary storage. It came to a bit over 5000 euros, not sure why they show prices in euros but whatever. That's one expensive puppy! My question is, will this do all of the local AI things people have been doing with voice modeling, etc? Is there a better product out there, or is the Framework desktop good?

@jaybird110127 The more important question is how much VRAM does it have and is there discrete graphics, because as far as I know, regular RAM doesn't at all matter with machine learning tasks.

@twynn The product page said this one has up to 96 GB of graphics addressable memory, and it has 40 graphics cores. Another problem though, this one you have to do some assembly, I don't know if they have a prebuilt model.

@jaybird110127 @twynn Oh wow! I think you'd be covered for a lot of things with those specs. How much assembly are we talking about? @fastfinge has one of those rigs. He might have an opinion.
