Dobby at the speed of the second book

Fact 1: Dobby wanted to save Harry Potter, even at the cost of harming him grievously. Fact 2: Dobby didn't give a rat's arse about the rest of the school - kids or adults. Given these facts, what would Dobby do once he was free of the Malfoy slavery, especially when Harry appeared to be in danger again and again?
