If you develop small free/open projects in your spare time, and still host them on GitHub, why haven’t you moved elsewhere yet?

Please boost for reach!

@dpk None of the alternatives care about accessibility. Codeberg continues to have accessibility issues. Not only do they go unfixed, codeberg keeps putting up inaccessible captchas, fixing them for a while, then adding yet another inaccessible "prove you're human" test a month later. Gitlab is just as bad as github, so no point moving there. Hosting my own repo means finding an accessible solution for issues, downloading releases, etc. All of the existing solutions have shown no commitment to accessibility, so I'm not willing to spend months putting in the work to fix them.

@fastfinge @dpk For details on accessibility, this is an interesting comparison chart: forgeperf.org

Accessibility can't be automated and these metrics are not unbiased, but it's a place to begin conversations.

@skyfaller @dpk One huge help would be to weight scores based on where developers spend most of their time or access most. A crappy experience I deal with once a month is far less of a problem than one I have to deal with daily. And any forge that uses captcha without audio and text versions available has to get a 0 across the board.
