I had to get back into IRC because I’ve been doing Linuxy things and IRC is basically a requirement, so consequently I vibe-coded a bunch of features into Adispeak by @fastfinge since a lot of my desktop computing still happens on Windows. Sub-buffers for events/chats/mentions/other things per channel, alt+number for reading messages (moving windows to ctrl+number), killing escape except when inside the history window, probably things a lot of people wouldn’t want. But now it is quite cozy and definitely a vibe. Somehow, my mIRC key still works after 15 years, and it still seems to be more accessible than AdiIRC. I’m tempted to try and migrate all of this work there because Adi still has so many weird quirks that bother me. Or maybe I could go back to Weechat. But for now this works.

@fastfinge Happy to make some PRs. Some of these changes will interfere with existing functionality and muscle memory for some people, so before I do, here’s a list of changes. @tristan The only thing I'd want is the alt+number and moving of the windows to ctrl+number behind a config flag. It's all I could really see breaking people's mustle memory. Everything else are nice additions!
