@fastfinge The openevv project now has a PR to take care of the sample rate issues. Could you please incorporate it into Eloquence 64's openevv section for testing? Add a wideband voice, and do everything above 11,025 in whole numbers: github.com/Mudb0y/openevv/actions/runs/37492982819
@fastfinge Thanks! I have it installed, but for the life of me I can't tell the difference between 11025 HZ and 48000 HZ! If this is the direction openevv is taking re sample rates, and if this is not an issue at our Eloquence 64 end, it's flawed. @nick
@fastfinge@nick On regular laptop speakers it's meaningless IMO. And since it's still based on ViaVoice not Eloquence, it doesn't change its intonation depending on whether you put a period at the end of sentences or an exclamation mark. Just wondering how, or why, IBM managed to also kill that one.
@amir@nick Yes, it is. The only way to hear it is with good headphones. And once you do hear it, you'll wish you didn't. And viavoice has a bunch of strangeness with inflection. Turning it down removes some of the extra pauses. So I suspect the period thing is related to that somehow.
