Hey, fediverse: Do I know anyone working on the Windows Store over at Microsoft? I'd like to publish an app to the Windows Store; unfortunately:
* the ID verification process for a personal developer account requires taking live photos and scanning QR Codes, and I can't get through it with a screen reader
* There is no way to get information about an alternative process during the developer onboarding flow
* This is out of scope for the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk
* There is no accessibility contact listed on the Windows Store developer page where I can request this information
* There is no accessibility information available during the onboarding process about how to complete this ID verification with a screen reader; or if it exists, I was unable to find it.
Have any of the blind folks I'm connected to completed this process? If so, I'd love any advice. Or if anyone knows who I should get in contact with, please do let me know!

@fastfinge the best support I’ve ever gotten from Microsoft was after tagging Jenny Lay-Flurrie on the bird site.
A support account told me the bug was fixed on Windows 11, so I went out and bought a whole new CPU. It wasn’t.
Good luck!

@fastfinge call the microsoft disability answer desk or enterprise disability answer desk... that's what they are there for no?

@jstark No. Supporting developers is out of scope for them. They support users of existing apps.

@jstark Right. They'll help you use the store app. But submitting apps to it as a developer isn't something they can help with.

@jstark Just the regular one. I'm not employed, so I can't access the enterprise one.
