@evilcookies98 I mean I spend so much of my time chasing Haley and Abigail around the map as they franticly run away from me that I might as well just complete my creepy stalker vibe and warp directly into their bedrooms, right? Sigh. It's thoughts like this that makes it hard for me to relax while playing Stardew. LOL. Seriously though, thanks for the tips.

@evilcookies98 Thanks! I haven't had one of those yet. Mostly I just get to day five or six, realize that a crop that I thought was watered isn't, get upset that now I screwed up, and restart. Or pick up my bed by mistake, can never ever put it back, get upset, and restart. Or spend all day chasing Haley all over the map, get somewhere that leaves me completely stuck and unable to get back to the bus stop, get upset, and restart. LOL

While I'm talking about games: Access is so, so close to being actually fun, with a good time freeze and autofishing addon. Unfortunately, I just can't get past the way pathfinding fails sometimes, and the way crops that are watered randomly don't update to show they're watered, and the way NPCs run around like pixies when you want to talk to them, so by the time pathfinding finishes they're already gone, and the way getting into bed is still a matter of trial and error. It makes things that would otherwise be fun into a chore. But, like, the mod itself is done well enough that it makes Stardew feel like a native , if it wasn't for the weird bugs and issues. And the game is fully playable, from what I can tell. I just can't get into the relaxing cozy vibe when I'm trying to figure out the exact direction to approach my bed at night, or wondering why the plants aren't getting watered when I'm using my watering can right on the tile, or chasing an NPC across the map who keeps walking away from me when I wanna talk to them. github.com/stardew-access/stardew-access

audiogame by a Russian developer @prokopets That's why I put the content warning there. If the game had advertising, or otherwise involved any money going to anyone in Russia, I wouldn't play at all. But as it is, there isn't even a donation link. So from an ethical perspective, I personally drew the conclusion that running it in a virtual machine is fine.

audiogame by a Russian developer @JamminJerry I mean I don't get a single streak of perfect hits, I come within one swing of getting a penalty for missing a couple times, and I get it stuck a bunch bouncing around at floor level. Compared to people who are actually any good at this I'm pretty terrible.

audiogame by a Russian developer Ball Bouncer is perhaps the ultimate culmination of a bunch of weird traits in the scene: random pointless destruction, casual games, 2d audio, and incomprehensible ball physics. Oh, and as with most of these types of games, I brutally suck at it, but feel compelled to keep playing anyway for some reason. As a guy who considers myself a ally, I really struggle with how much more I discriminate against online these days. If you present as a woman in her 20’s and you message me for any reason, we’re starting from the assumption that you’re actually a 40 year old dude with a crypto scam he wants to get me involved in. Not because I have negative feelings towards women, but because as an obviously straight white dude, that’s the pattern that every single scammer who contacts me uses. So if a man contacts me for something it’s far less likely to make my scam radar go off. I really don’t know what to do with that. Maybe this is what equality feels like? I can only assume that every time I talk to any woman online she’s assuming I’m a creep who eventually wants to send her unwanted dick pics. Even if I, like, just think her fanfic is cool or whatever.

writing based on the work of a transphobic author This is really similar to Harry Potter and the Summer of Change. It's not quite plagiarism, but some plot items happen beat for beat. However, it's still a fun read!

The app for the TP-Link Deco mesh system is nice and if you're in the market for a router. More than can be said for Linksys Velop. Amplifi was okay, but the TP-Link app is actually better, at least on with . I haven't had the system for long enough to give a review, other than that setup was quick and all the apps joined without issue. Also the default DHCP settings are weird. Who wants to start at 192.168.68.1? Changing it isn't obvious. First you have to change the lan address. Then it will change the gateway for you as part of that. Only then can you change the DHCP allocation. And even then it wants to start allocating at 192.168.0.1. That's too weird for me when the router lives at 192.168.1.1. And even after fiddling, it's still randomly assigning devices in 192.168.2. and 192.168.3.. But at least it let me reserve the devices that I need to be static. I probably have to go somewhere and do something incomprehensible with netmasks, but whatever. It's fine.

Does anyone have the 6.1 dlls with Korean and Japanese support? I can't use 6.6 in this context because it needs to be portable and so I can't register the dll files. Maybe @Tamasg perhaps?
