After enjoying by this author previously, i decided to give another one a shot. This one was just silly fun! No serious questions here. It was pretty good, though I can’t read subtitles so I’m completely unfamiliar with magical girl tropes, and I suspect that spoiled the fun somewhat. I kept picturing all the characters transforming into ponies because of all the mentions of friendship, as that’s my closest English reference. But it obviously wasn’t the intent of the author. Angry ranting about a terrible song with terrible sexual themes Why did everyone get upset about baby it’s cold outside, but playing funky cold Medina is still okay? I hate that date rape anthem more every time I hear it! “You must be sure that the girl is pure for the funky cold Medina. Ain’t got no plan with a man. It’s the 80s and I’m down with the ladies.” Well, it’s the 2020s and I hope tone LOC is locked up.

@lynessence @tjolsen Assuming you're using the bluesky.social account, it works fine with Mona and Enafore. You can read your feed, post, follow, boost, etc.

So now that allows for self-hosting, I spent the last five hours setting it up. Yikes! That was TERRIBLE! Subdomains make it cranky. DNS makes it cranky. Reverse proxies make it cranky. Sharing a domain with the makes it cranky. It requires the ability to send email, even for admin users. Their default docker-compose is really annoying and then you have to do a bunch of silly things to make the admin shell scripts (that just call curl) actually work. And then you don't even get a cool handle out of it, so nobody is going to bother.
